Recent advances in technology have meant
that it is possible to scan the brain in real time and investigate what is
going on even to the level of thought. In fact, this is used in some Police
Forces to
screen potential recruits for ‘unsavoury’ attitudes.
I believe that now, in UK education,
psychology has been classified as a science subject (Chem Phys Biol and
Psych!) that is a reflection on the way cognitive neuroscience will become
more important at A-level and undergrad.
